John "Jack" Havrilla – Of Fenton, age 83, died Friday, April 22, 2022 at Hurley Medical Center.


John was born on December 13, 1938 in Flint, Michigan, the son of John and Mary (Popadich) Havrilla. Jack graduated from Hoover High School in 1957 and attended Flint Junior College.


On November 12, 1960, he married Judith Lynn Geyer. He and Judy enjoyed their 62 years together spending time with family and friends, attending their grandchildren’s activities, and loving their view of Runyan Lake.


John spent most of his career as a Sheet Metal Die Designer for AC Spark Plug in Flint. He was a member of the Flint Banjo Club, Knights of Columbus, and the Fenton Moose Club.


Surviving are wife Judy; his "three boys" Jeff (Carmen), Joe (Donna), and John; grandchildren Kristen, Kathryn, Josh, Nikolai, Danielle, Allison, and Nate; sister JoAnn Lubiato; sister in-laws Linda Sherrill, Vicki Vassalo, and Wendy Norton; and seven nieces and nephews.


Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church, 2333 North Elms Road, Flushing, The Very Reverend James Batcha officiating.


Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.


Visitation 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill. There will be a Vigil and sharing of memories on Monday at 7 p.m.


Visitation 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church until the time of Divine Liturgy.
