I am sorry for your lose,but i am looking for the family of a John Hayes Jr. who served on the USS Shickshinny in 1944-1945.I found a letter in some stuff I got at an action here in In.The letter was mailed to New York New York from West Plaines Mo.,its never been opened ,on the back its stamped Noprfolk Va.
