Not sure what to say?

I miss you - Hayes

Judge Hayes exemplified attention to truth, wisdom and graciousness. There are too few people like Judge Hayes in public life of our society. That is my biggest concern about our society.

John and I grew up together at the Episcopal Church of Our Savior. John was a year older but as to everyone so warm, kind, friendly and even to someone an entire year younger. What a Judge he was! One of Rock Hill´s Stars! My love and prayers to Sarah Lynn and all of the family. Janie London McIntyre

Worked in court with Judge Hayes for 10 years. Not a finer man I´ve ever met . Prayers from Tim and Peggy Hager

As a lawyer in the neighboring county of Lancaster, I came to know John as a lawyer which led me to regard him as a friend and an example of the kind of attorney I wanted to be. Most evident to me was John´s kindness, evident to anyone who would be in his company. His innate goodness was expressed in his smile and whole demeanor. He made you feel comfortable and valued. Those qualities would serve him well as a distinguished practicing attorney. Though I did not know him as well as I...

John was a classmate of mine at USC Law School. We both became circuit judges the same year. What a noble man to walk through our state during his lifetime. The state was a better place because he passed this way.

Judge Hayes and his wife were always so kind to my daughter and her classmates at Winthrop (Class of 2012). Since they lived in off-campus housing just a few doors down from Judge Hayes, he always looked out for them and as an out-of-town parent, this made me feel more at ease because I knew what a man of honor and integrity he was. I feel as though I've lost a friend myself and I will forever be grateful to him and to Mrs. Hayes for their generosity and graciousness. Praying for the family.

Our sympathy to Judge John Hayes' Family. A legacy to admire. May Judge Hayes rest in peace. Peace Be With You All, Jacqueline Orr Anthony & Orr Family

I had the pleasure of appearing before him in General Sessions Court in Spartanburg many years ago. A fine gentleman and jurist. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.
