To John's Family:
I met John when we were students at Phillips High School. We were in speech class and the PHS choir together. We later worked together at Bessemer Tech.
We are fortunate to have known him as long as we did. The family has my prayers as we mourn our loss but celebrate the life he led.
Sincerely,
Frances Stewart

Linda, J. B. and family,
I was saddened today to learn of Mr. Hayes passing. I know how much he cared for each of you.
I learned many things during the years we worked together at BSTC. Mr. Hayes loved learning and was always willing to share his knowledge with others. I know that you will miss him greatly but you will always have the memories.
I am sorry for your loss.

I was sorry to hear of your loss. I worked with Mr. Hayes at Bessemer State and I also worked at Fred's Pharmacy where he picked up his perscriptions in which he called his "dope". He was a nice man and will be truly missed. I will keep your family in my prayers. For words of comfort, read John 14th chapter, Psalm 23rd chapter and I Thessolonians 4: 13-18 verses. May God's comforting words strength your family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.I
worked with Mr, Hayes at BSTC. Mr. Hayes would always say his name was
"John Awful Hayes." He will be greatly missed.
