I was so sorry to hear about Dennis. He and I were judicial colleagues from the time of his appointment until his retirement. Although we served on opposite sides of the state, I always considered him a tremendous colleague and a good friend. He was always a true gentleman, and his calm demeanor, compassion, and sense of fairness made him an outstanding judge who was greatly admired and respected. I'm so sad to hear about Denny. I have so many, many memories of him throughout my childhood. From Christmas tree hunting to New Years Eve, sledding in the back yard and flying down the zip line... I will always remember him as the person tagged to be my back-up dad. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. I'm thinking of you all.
