Read MoreI'm so sad to hear of John's passing. My heartfelt best to Carolyn, Nicole and the rest of the Heard family. I still remember his gigs and our music chats. I fondly remember the watch I got for my birthday... one with his design and his photo on the watchface. Unfortunately I lost it when my home burned to the ground. RIP dear friend.

I'm saddened to learn of the passing of the legendary John Heard. So talented....and so loved not just by fans like me, but deeply loved by his family and friends. Grief is very hard....what a loss for his family, but to all of us fans out here as well. I pray he knew the Lord, and is in His Holy Presence as I type. Much love to the family of John Heard.

To the entire Heard family, my heart goes out to you. I´m terribly sorry for your loss. John, a exceptionally talented, sensitive, and humble human, will never be forgotten and is greatly missed. I am honored to have memories and love hearing his rich warm bass.
