Not sure what to say?

We remember. Respect.

On this poignant Anniversary, I have no more adequate words now than I did then. But I remember. I know you treasure the time you had to make the great memories. I remember and honor the life of John.

What a great man. I was the Ordnance Chief when I first met him in VF-41 during Desert Storm. Great man! Cheers Bags! My prayers and thoughts are with your family. That smile....

Bag exemplified excellence, teamwork, and professionalism. He was a friend to all - and made all of us better people, aviators and leaders. His legacy will be carried on by the many people he trained and mentored, and he will be sorely missed.

Our hearts and prayers are with you - We can`t imagine the pain you are going through- Much love to you both-and the rest of the Hefti family- Love, Bill and Cherie

Buzz, Carol, and family, our hearts go out to you at this terrible tragedy. We hope the knowledge that so many have you in our thoughts and prayers will provide some comfort to you now and in the days to come.

Col and Mrs. Hefti & Julia and Jim, For all of us who grew up with John we are deeply saddened by his passing. My condolences to you all, and know God has him now and the celebration is on. We knew growing up John was gonna be a great leader and he did not disappoint us. We will miss ole number 8! Much love, Fitz

Buzz,Carol and Family, words cannot fully express my sorrow at the loss of John. In reading his obituary, it was apparent that he was a stellar and accomplished man. There will be a void until you all meet again in our Father's Kingdom. Our prayers are with you.

While we are trying to grasp the enormity of the grief for all of the Hefti clan, we can only keep you in our daily thoughts and continue to offer our Masses for each of you. Buzz and Carol, you are both being held tightly in a tight virtual hug
