My deepest sympathies to the family. While I never got to meet John in person, our interactions assured me that he was a man of deep faith and we can rejoice in the midst of sadness that he is now with the Savior.

Karen, Ron, Mary, and Bob - I'm so sorry to read of your loss, but rejoicing with your Dad in his homegoing. As a child, I enjoyed it when he led the song service at 12th Ave. CRC - he directed the congregation with such enthusiasm! Just think of the music he is surrounded by now!

We are thinking of and praying for the family during this time. I can still see him singing at Big Star Chapel. He had such a beautiful voice! We have comfort knowing we will see him again!

I'm so sorry for your loss. I always loved when John stopped in the Admissions office at Sunset and enjoyed all the stories he had to share about the early days of Sunset.

John was a special person, always smiling and offering kind words. He was very supportive of the Kentwood community and often offered prayers and advice. I will miss him. Sincere condolences to his family.

My condolences to the immediate and extended families of Mr. Helder and to all of his friends! We are going to miss John dearly at our Wednesday luncheons. He sang his heart out during hymn sing and did an amazing job recruiting our weekly speakers/guests! Until we meet again John. Blessings my friend
