John B. Helsell

Jack was like another father to me, and Jan like another mother, as they were my mentors from age 8 until my mid twenties. I will miss him so very much as a friend and neighbor.

My condolences to the all the family. I have many fond memories of Jack and the family from years back. Four Winds was a special place for all the Helsell family, my family also, both the camp and for me especially the farm. I am so glad I visited the farm while it was being transformed into what it presently is, climbed Turtlehead and just totally enjoyed being there again.

Among favorite memories, riding my horse, Liz, down to your Yarrow point house to swim in the lake on hot...

My most heartfelt condolences to all of the Helsell family. I knew you all at Four Winds camp and loved your parents as the camp directors. I remember your father very fondly. I had the wonderful opportunity a few years back to visit their lovely farm with Sue Palmer. Your dad was still as I had remembered him as a child. You have a wonderful family, and legacy. I hope that all your fond memories of life with your wonderful father and husband will help you through.
