I met John when I was just a kid learning to hunt on our family farm in PA. John was a skilled shooter and patient hunter. He'd go out before first light and stay out till just after dark. One of my best memories was the day he walked into our guest house mid day during some bad weather and picked up Ed Poleshuk's rifle which he never shot before, looked through the scope, spotted and shot the biggest mature buck ever taken from our property to this date.
