John was born on March 10, 1926 and passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018. John was a resident of Pottsville, Pennsylvania at the time of passing. John served in the US Army during World War II from 1944-1946. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View, with Rev. Duane Bardo officiating. Burial will be made in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Valley View. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the John L Herb Memorial Fund, c/o St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, P.O Box 221, Valley View PA 17983 Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.
