May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

My family moved down the street from John in 97,the first winter we met John. It had snowed and he would always plow out driveways in the area with his antique John Deere 60 my family also collected antique tractors and I was only 8 and loved to turn wrenches and work on things. The first summer I spent almost everyday at John's garage watching him work on cars, tractors and all kinds of different things. I gained a nickname with him "hey john" is what he always called me, I would always ask...

John was an amazing neighbor and friend. When Rick and I moved across the street from him in the mid 90s he is what you call the true neighbor. Always coming to help us when Rick wrecked his truck (the week we moved into our house- he did not know us but helped anyway), and as they say it takes a village to raise a family. I knew John for many years, and visited him often at his garage. He always had a cast of characters around, and was a character himself. He got me started in becoming a pilot, and I enjoyed several flying trips with him. I would meet him for lunch at times at his favorite place in Arcanum. I got to know him and his family over the years, and he was a good man, always with a strong sense of humor. I much admired him and will miss him greatly.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
