Not sure what to say?

Whenever I needed a gadget or some special effects or electrical stuff, I made my way down to the basement of the Kalita Humphreys Theater to Allen's little nook. I knew if I posed a "do you think it's possible" sort of question that Allen Hibbard would come up with a way I could get what I needed for whatever TCT project I had going on. He was just a great guy. I'm sorry Larry and I never made it out West to fish with him. From what I hear, he was very happy there and that is a comfort to...

Allen was a most enjoyable, dear and loyal friend. Yes, I regret that he did not have time to finish my fly rod, not because I really needed the fly rod, but because we had already spent two years talking about it, and I am convinced that we would have been talking about it for years to come, in the best circumstance for decades. Now I do not have him to needlt about my fly rod. But we all have our memories of Allen and they are truly special. Mike T.

Allen in his element.

Allen was a friend at DTC and a long-distance soul mate afterwards. I will miss his laughter during our phone calls, and I take comfort in the knowledge that he was happy in his Montana home. His photo remains on my refrigerator as he remains in my heart.

Allen was a graduate school classmate and friend who always impressed me with his great technical talent. To quote the great bard, "Good night, sweet prince, and flights of angels sing to thy rest!"

Allen taught me the beauty of a hard back light at Kalita and the art of a soft cast on Turtle Creek. He was a wonderful friend and a great lighting designer. I hope they are jumping in the boat where you are Allen.

I was always humbled by Allen's ingenuity, intelligence, and humility. Visiting him in his little "cubby" in the DTC basement was always a pleasant learning experience.

Allen was a colleague, a mentor and a friend. A talented designer, with a superb sense of excellence in craft, his passions were many and varied. He is missed.

Allen was always generous with himself, and patient with those less brilliant...which includes most of us

Allen took joy wherever he went. Sadly, he has now taken it away.
