John Eldon Hickinbotham

As a young teenager, I remember John coming to visit us in the summertime. We looked forward to his visits because he was so much fun to be with. It was a pleasure to see him again a couple of years ago at the Hickenbotham reunion and introduce him to some of my family. My daughter, Karen, enjoyed working on genealogy with John and his extended family. Our thoughts and prayers are with all who knew and loved him.

To all of John's family,
John was one of my absolute favorites of the "old-timers" here at Heidt & Associates. He was a very kind & gentle man, but he always could make me laugh! I've missed him since he's been gone. Always hold his memory close to your hearts. You were very lucky to have had him in your lives.

I never met your husband/father, but I heard about him from my mother, Lila DeVore Frazier. Mom and the family up here called him John Hick. His name came up at the DeVore reunions we used to have at Mom and Dad's. Plus, I knew Rita and Merle. I know you'll really miss him. While I never met John, I can tell by his photo that I surely do wish I had. He looks like a kind, gentle man who looks like he was a lot of fun to be around.
