Not sure what to say?

I miss John's cheery observations each morning when facing challenging clinical tasks. What a positive influence despite surrounding catastrophes!

Dear John,
I am proud of having known you and having worked with you. We worked in the lab together on multiple project. I found 8 articles that we published together. The first one was published by you on column-switching HPLC and became essential for the other seven. You broke the chaos in the lab and brought order and sophistication. You were intelligent, hard working, patient and extremely reliable. Most importantly, you remained humane, kind and humorous in the most stressful...

John of the "seasoned" tea beaker. You meant more to the technicians in 1-120 than you will ever know. How can I ever celebrate Halloween without remembering you? Here's to one Midland's trumpet solo in your honour.

I sang in the choir at Our Lady of Grace with John for many years. He always kept the men on track and had a wonderful ability to harmonize. He kept the entire choir laughing with his droll comments. It was never quite the same after he left. I am sad to hear of his passing.

I feel proud of finding an opportunity to have met you and your good humour. You were so patient and very kind to the foreign research fellows worked with you.
I remember my days at Hopkins tried to spare time whilst almost running to your office wanted to share some with you. Thanks for keeping a photo of Istanbul hanged in your lab and behaving in a friendly way to me although I was at the age of your children.
I will always remember you.

I worked with you briefly at JHMI research lab more than 10 years ago and always remembered your kindness as if we met yesterday.

Rest easy. . .

We will miss you here at JHU Nuclear Medicine.

Sir John, as I always greeted you, you will be missed. May God hold you and keep you close to his bosom.

We miss you and your gentle humor. As promised, "you will hear no more whinging from me."
