Dear Kay, I am really saddened for you and the family since Johnny always made us all smile all the time. My regret is that for several weeks I had a nagging in my head to call Johnny to catch up with him and enjoy the conversation. I did not take this "inspiration" to call him as an immediate action and I am so very sorry for my mistake. I called your home today but no one answered and I only have Johnny's email so please call me. My favorite Johnny story is sitting on the Hines front porch beside Johnny while he killed flies with a swatter and he named every fly. I was sooooo impressed that he knew all their names. The Lind family is very sorry for your & the family's loss of John/Pops. He was a very good grandfather to Madison & Jack! John fought a valiant fight for a long time. I will continue to keep you in my thoughts & prayers.

I treasure the times I spent talking shop with John at LICC. A particularly special evening was whenever I got to visit with both Kay and John. Such a treat! John will be so missed.

Kay and children I am verry sorry to read about Johnny. I enjoyed playing in the band with Johnny and in everything we did in East High. Kay, I remember John so well when we were in school and when my friends and I would go to be with Jackie at her house for parties. He was a great person, so friendly and outgoing, always laughing and happy..........I always felt much of his happiness was because of you Kay. He has been remembered by me and always will be.
