I am just one of many from A. O. Smith who knew John through the years and admired his kindness, intelligence and enthusiasm. Better than anyone I know, John represents the technology and innovation that made A. O. Smith Automotive great for over a hundred years. My heartfelt sympathy to his family and many close friends.

My condolences to your family. Uncle Johnnie was a great man! Was always great to hear him tell old stories of my Grandpa and him when they were kids! He will be truly missed!

I don't have to tell you what Uncle John means to me but I just want you all to know how much he will be missed by me and my whole family. My kids truely felt like he was a grandpa to them. I am saddened to hear of John's passing. It was always great to visit with him and see his smiling face, he will definately be missed! The family is in my thoughts.

John was a friend and mentor to the hundreds of people that were privileged to have know him. The entire industry is better today having known, learned and worked with this wonderful man.
