Not sure what to say?

Love you, Hubie.

One of the very best. Miss you, Hubie.

I went to high school with John. He was truly one of the good guys. I never remember him teasing anyone or being involved in name calling. He was always looking for a way to help out. I'm sorry to learn of his passing.

Hubie was a great teammate and fine man. I was saddened to hear of his passing. Rest in Peace, John.

Our condolences to entire Hinton Family from Candie and Peggy Ommert.

Fraternity brother and OWU teammate. I absolutely loved this man. So many memories, like the night 6-2 Hubie battled the 6-6 Don Carlos to a draw on the block and the Bishops upset Otterbein. Anytime I hear Marvin Gaye, the Temptations, or the Supremes I will always think of sipping a frosty beverage with Hubie. There will never be another like him.

So sorry to see John has passed away. We knew him from Runner's Club. He was such a nice man and helpful to anyone who needed guidance.

John was my best friend growing up in Mechanicsburg. His father Joe was a WW2 vet who ran our local appliance store and his Mom Betty was a beloved elementary teacher. We marched together as Cub Scouts and once ran away from school for which we got the paddle. Always kind and humble John became one of "the Burg´s" greatest basketball stars before moving on the Ohio Wesleyan. He got the nickname "Hubie" because our high school principal´s name was Hubert Hinton. We last met at our Class...

When I think of Coach Hinton I immediately start to smile, as he always displayed the brightest smile. He was an awesome Man and he never forgot about my brother Larry Sparks. His love and friendship meant so much to our family. We send our love and heartfelt prayers to his family. He will truly be missed. God bless you Coach Hinton, your job here is was well done thy good and faithful servant. Blessings to his family.
