Not sure what to say?

I am so very sad to hear of John`s passing. I worked with John for many years at Borg Warner. I grew him tomato plants every year, and he always felt like he had to give back. He would bring me fruit of all kinds from grapes to peaches. I wouldn´t take any money for the tomato plants so he would buy me bags of really good compost. He was the nicest man you could ever know ,he will be missed very much.

We are saddened by John´s passing. He was a special friend who left us with countless memories ranging from our unspoken adventures as young men to our tailgating as senior citizens at the SU football games. Always a kind, generous and gentle soul. A true believer in Ukraine and a tireless supporter of our Ukrainian American Community. He will be missed by all who knew him but never forgotten. Vichnaya Pamyat - Memory Eternal.

Marianne and family, Offering my deepest condolences during this difficult time.

To say he was a good man is an understatement. He was the person you could call at 3 in the morning and he would be ready to help you out. His activities with the various Ukrainian actives was a tribute to the pride he took in his heritage. He was a caregiver to his parents and a good friend.

John was a great friend all through high school and long after. We lost touch over the years but I will always cherish his friendship. He was a proud Ukrainian! God rest his soul. John Restey
