My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family at this time. Although I did not know John, I work with his brother Joel. May God bless you and your family at this time and know in your hearts that John is always with you.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hlavaty for many years. I really liked him. He was a very caring person. My prayers are with your family. God bless you all.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hlavaty's since he began his practice back in Maple Hts. My family and I have followed him from Maple Hts., to the West Side Market area and now out to Brunswick. John was a wonderful man who we cared for deeply. He was always so much fun to visit with and hear stories of what was going on in his life from visit to visit. He always inquired about my parents, my kids and my sisters and always remembered everyones names. He was a very special man and I will...

Carole and Daniel,
I am saddened and shocked to hear of John's untimely passing. I knew John from our days back at the OSU College of Optometry and the EYE house...he was a friend to all and I always thought he was one of the nicest people in our profession. I never heard him saw a bad word about anyone! He was a credit to our profession and I cannot imagine your loss. God Bless!
