Dr. John Eldon Hoar

Dr. Hoar was my dentist for most of my life. He was always friendly, kind and I never felt afraid when I was in his chair, as a child and later as an adult. I still have caps that he had done and they are still holding up going on 25 years. He was a master at his trade. He would always answer my questions and I never felt rushed with him. I will miss him, his professionalism and his kindness. He was definitely one of a kind.

One of finest men I ever knew.

It has been a year now and I still can't make this seem real. We will never find another like him and will always smile when we think of him. May your memories make you less sad.

I love you, Dad.

Such a loss for our community, and neighborhood. My parents were close with Johnny and Joyce and now he joins my parents in Heaven. Let me know if I can help in any way. R.I.P. Johnny Hoar, you were definitely one of the good guys.

Johnny was my first cousin on his mother's side (Zimmerman) and I too am honored to have been named for his Father, Eldon Hoar. I have so many wonderful memories of his kind and gentle soul extending back to my early childhood. As I grew up, Johnny was in many ways "The Example" that I tried to follow. I know he has been a professional success, a leader in his Implant Dentistry, a wonderful Husband and Father to three loving children. Pat and I will miss him dearly.

We have made a donation in memory of Dr. Hoar to the Huntsville Hospice Family Care. Our condolences to the family. We are friends with his son, John.
