John and I have known each other for 37 years. We met when joining a Saturday early morning bicycling group sponsored by our church in Farmington. We reconnected when my husband Steve and I relocated to Colorado to be near our daughter and her family. For the past eight years, we traded jigsaw puzzles and enjoyed Chinese food when I visited him nearly once a month (I live 2 hours away in Longmont). We will miss John at the Monument Library! He came to see us almost every day and I enjoyed his sense of humor. He was an avid reader and crossword enthusiast. Thank you for telling us more of his story. It's very nice to learn more about him. Our condolences to his family.

John was a dear, humorous and happy friend. He loved his family and friends, and Lawrence Welk. I admired his ability to work his puzzles and the how he uniquely designed his house. John is an amazing man.
