Not sure what to say?

Dear Hockberger and Morrison Families,

I am so sorry to hear of John’s passing. During this time, I hope you take solstice in knowing that John’s memory lives on in the lives of the children and staff of Idaho Diabetes Youth Programs. It is hard to find the words to express the great strength we all wish upon your family, and hope you feel the support of the community during this difficult time.

With greatest sympathy,

Lisa Henning
Executive Director, Idaho...

Uncle John enjoyed a life full of adventure, chalenges, sucesses, travels and love of family and friends. His years with Velma were some of the best - what a match! May the memories live on, all the days of our lives. I toast you Uncle. Well done. You go on to where those who preceeded you eagerly await you. We will see you again, just not yet. Paul, Eric & Melissa.

My parents always spoke warmly of John, Bob and their Mother. And, John's friendship with my parents was precious to them, through-out their lives. Mom, as one of the VanCuren girls, lived almost next door, before she married Dad, and they farmed the Hockberger Ranch together. John was a special person, and the smiling face that I've always associated with the Hockberger Ranch. My sympathies to your family.

My father and later my parents farmed the Hockburger Ranch from some time after Hugh's death until John returned to the farm in 1949. Among my childhood treasures was an insignia from one of John's military uniforms, probably a gift from his Mother. But the greatest gift was John's friendship with my parents through their years, for which I am grateful. My heart goes out to John's family in this time of loss.

My sister worked for Mr. Hockberger at his fruit ranch back in the early 80s. He was very kind and generous to her.
A gentle soul and wonderful sense of humor.
We were fortunate to know him.
Our deepest sympathies to all of his family.

We offer our love and support and will miss John and his great smile and sense of humor. Our hearts are with you and we cherish our memories and time spent with John.
