I was saddened to see john's picture in Oregonian obits. I worked with him at the fish comm. Clackamas research lab back in the 50's. he was a friendly, unassuming associate who gracefully accepted the nickname "Curly".

I knew John at Willamette View for many years, taking care of his computer for him. He was a kind and cordial man. I will miss him. Ron Varekamp
