Not sure what to say?

I met Johnny 30 years ago. He was performing at a Detroit Club. He was so pleasant to be around. We both had children around the same time and we talked about our babies. My prayers go out to Linda and the family. Ruth Ward

I had the opportunity to work with Johnny in Detroit, Mich back in 1972. As a former road manager for the Swiss Movement and the Louisiana Purchase, I experience the antics of Mr. Hodges, his professionalism as an entertainer, and as a friend. When the Swiss Movement came on stage you were amazed at the talent and showmenship displayed by these gentelman. Johnny would do Al Greens, "How Do You Mend A Broken Heart", it was a show stopper. I had the opportunity to speak with Johnny over...

My prayers are with all of you. Johnny was a very dear friend, I met him years ago. My brother Keith McWilliams was on stage performing with Johnny many times. It was great to see them perform. I will truly miss Johnny. I send my heartfelt sympathy.

Johnny Hodges was full of life. He always had a smile on his face, considering his situation. He also made sure everyone around him had smiley faces too. He never forgot to say good morning. He never forgot to say good bye. He was a kind man who truly loved his family and cared about the people who came into his life. He was proud to be him and happy for the moments he had. We were lucky to have known him. He will truly be missed. My thoughts and prayers goes out to his families.

I just heard about the news of Johnny. I worked with him at Haworth little over 10 years ago. He was a very special, talented man that I considered a friend. We had so much fun putting together a talent show of singing and dancing for our first Christmas presentation.

After Haworth, I would occasionally see him around. He would remain friendly and genuine and was so happy with his new marriage and family.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Never forget to cherish...

To the family, I am sorry for your loss of Johnny, and for the loss of your daughter/sister Chaconas and their memory. God Bless you all, may you know His love.

I have known Johnny for close to 30 years. We shared laughter, tears and much joy & happiness in that period of time. I know the love he had for Linda and his family. My prayer is that we all find comfort and peace to know that he is now free of pain and dancing & singing for the Lord. His presence in this world and my life will be greatly missed. To see Johnny again one day we must believe in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.Read Romans10:8,9,10 and believe it in your heart.
