John was a true gentleman, always made time to listen and help others. He was truly knowledgeable in many areas of life and provided guidance where you may not have even known you needed it. He will be missed by so many who's lives he touched. My sincere heartfelt condolences to his family.

My condolences to the Hoffert family. John a gentleman, classy, swanky dresser, great lawyer will be missed. As Mt Penn solicitor, his expertise solved a long time property situation for me.

John was my mothers attorney and my attorney in the 60s and 70s. He would always make us laugh. John would help my mother even when she had little money. He was a bright and successful man. What a wonderful life.

I will personally miss John and that smile & eyes lighting up - whether we discussed something, legal, hunting, fishing, social or otherwise. He always made me (and others) feel so important and talked to me like I was a family member or special friend--- Every Time. I will miss this man deeply he was the kind of guy that could speak his mind even if it was not what you wanted to hear. But always a true friend and wanted to help all that he could. Our thoughts & prayers are with Deon,...

My condolences To the Hoffert Family on the passing of John Hoffert, Esq. I first met Attorney Hoffert as one of his Business Law students at Albright College. He had a unique & very practical way of teaching us all a bit about Business Law from the perspective of being a very busy practicing attorney; a successful practice which endured for many decades in Berks County. Rest in peace Mr. Hoffert!

John was Gerry's attorney for decades and mine for the last 20 years. He was a compassionate, considerate and extremely knowledgeable attorney. He helped me through some difficult times. He will be missed by both of us. He was most definitely a Court Street icon.

John was a mentor, colleague and friend. As a young attorney he brought me in to work at his firm. I learned so much about humanity and sympathy for others from John. He helped me in my campaigns and spoke at my swearing in. To all of John's family and many friends, I extend my personal heartfelt condolences. What a great man, I always marveled at his longevity in the very difficult area of family law. He served his clients well and was a loyal friend. He will be missed.
