Not sure what to say?

Top - I hope you know even now that I think of you often. RIP.

I just leaned of Jack's passing. A Great man, friend soldier and I know husband.

As the years go by it only becomes clearer to me how important Jack's leadership was in my life during those 5 years at Ft. Polk. I wish we had had the chance to talk later in life.

As I have stayed involved in working with fellow veterans and NCOs, I find that I think of Jack on a daily basis, remembering those years at Ft. Polk and how his leadership changed my life. RIP CSM.

Gosh: best boss I ever had and a dear friend

I am so sorry that I have only found this a year later. CSM Hoffman was my 1SG at Foot Polk from 1982 to 1986 and when he moved to battalion I became 1SG of E Co. 4 th MSB. He was an outstanding soldier, NCO and mentor. May God hold him gently in his arms. RIP CSM.

To the Family of John Hoffman,

I send my deepest condolences during this time of sorrow. I pray that the memories of laughter and joy will bring a sense of peace, along with an air of calm as the days and months go by. Wonderful blessings to come for all of mankind by means of our Heavenly Father. Draw close to God and he will draw close to you.

We pray that Marge and the family are comforted by their friends and loved ones now and in the future. Jack was one of a kind and so generous with his talents. We are all better for having spent time with him.
