John P. Hoffman

I am so sorry to hear of Paul’s passing. Our paths crossed a number of times including Caterpillar over the years. I always enjoyed speaking with him. Sometimes it was a battle of wits with me coming out on the losing end most of the time. As a farm boy/Bradley graduate, engineer, Oldsmobile driver, and John Deere owner, we had many similar interests. I thought very highly of Paul. He will be sorely missed but is in a much better place now!

Paul and I were very good friends through our times at Caterpillar. We would talk about old cars and other things mechanical. He was a wonderful christian man who set an example for all of us to live. So sorry to hear of his passing, but he will, indeed, get to hug his dad in the next life.

Paul was a favorite cousin. I loved his collection of tractors and high heel bikes. He was a friend of so many and a great father and grandfather to his kids and grandkids. He visited my Dad in his last year very often and was a great companion. My Dad, Harvey Hoffman, was also an aficionado of old tractors. My deepest sympathy and love to family and friends.
