I was deeply saddened to hear of John's passing. It seems like we had just talked a few weeks ago. He was a great friend and fellow member of NCRSP. He will be greatly missed by all of us who had the opportunity of knowing him.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family and friends of John Hoffman. John was a strong advocate of public education. He worked very closely with other leaders to stand tall for the children and the employees of public schools. On a personal note, John worked very closely with me on several NCAE programs and projects. I appreciate his leadership and his friendship. Eddie Davis - Durham, NC

Keeping John's family and friends in my thoughts and prayers. I remember him coming to Judy's softball games, many years ago. Such a nice man.

To John's family, I worked with him at Morgan Elementary, in which him and Carolyn worked in unison.. I loved John to death and the shock of his passing leaves speechless. The Bible says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. John loved his family and loved the Lord
