Not sure what to say?

We were young and strong with our lives ahead of us the last time I saw you. The next time I see you our lives will be memories. Rest in peace my friend.

I played football with John at Ferrum. He was a good friend, I´m sorry I didn´t stay in touch.

Hoff, Thank u for being the friend you were to Joh. And I for 52 years. Your heart was bigger than life. I will miss you terribly. Love u my friend Kim Werner Mckenney

I knew John Hoffman through my aunt and extended family. I didn't know him well, but well enough to see he was a stand-up guy, devoted father and a person dedicated to service and helping people. My condolences and best wishes to his loved ones.

My sincerest condolences to Valerie, Karen, and the entire Hoffman family for your loss.. John, (Hoffa), was often "larger than life". He loved people, interacting/helping them, and put his heart and soul into coaching/public service. He left a lasting impression on so many, and will be remembered/sorely missed by all. It was a privilege to work/know him closely in so many settings.. RIP my friend... Bill Ryan

My Condolences to Karen, Valerie and the family. The sprit and passion of John Hoffman impacted so many young men. I have always considered myself lucky to have grown up in Swampscott but I was blessed to play for and coach with John. You impacted my life and taught me so many valuable lessons. I am so thankful that our paths crossed! Rest in peace, Coach!
