Not sure what to say?

John was an unusual man who lived a long and eventful life. He was strong of back, character,& will, who had a disarming way with stories
that he compiled into a book about the early days of El Dorado oil fields. He was one-of-a-kind and there were not many like him. May God Bless. Richard Loban, past Pres.Prairie Port Singles
[John was one of us, too..that's where he met Charlene]

I really wanted to let all of my uncle John's family know how saddened I am at his passing as this brings and end to the original family of Hogobooms as I remember. My mother was John"s sister and I always felt it was an honor to be of this strong and hard working family. You were blessed to have had him for a father and to have had him for so many wonderful years. Your memories will sustain you in the days to come.

He was a good man that will be missed by all that knew him.

The news shocked and saddened me. I am a former step-Great Granddaughter, and I remember all the fun we had on the holidays at Great-Grandad Hogoboom's. He will be missed.

I didn't really know him but I am A great Neice of Virgil Hogoboom And It has been told to me by my uncles and Anuts we were always consider family with all the hogoboom's. The Diemart Family sends It's thoughts and prayers with you and to let you know you are in our thoughts.

I'm thankful to have known John. He was a good horseman and taught a lot to us younger horsemen. We will miss him.
