Not sure what to say?

Mr. Hogue was one of the greatest, most kind-hearted teachers at Churchville. I had the honor of having him as one of my teachers and my father did too. I will never forget his cheeseburger hat and his welcoming smile and attitude. My thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family. Mr. Hogue will never be forgotten, rest in peace.

As a student of Churchville Middle school thirty years ago and the mother of One of Mr Hogue's students the year he retired I am so sad to hear of his passing. Mr. hogue was a student favorite during my time and it was still the case when my daughter Hannah had him recently. He was a wonderful person and a gifted educator. Few people are as committed and passionate about their career in their retirement year as they were when they started - he was the exception. Know that his legacy lives on...

Janice, I'm very sorry for the loss of your husband. As your former neighbor, I had fond memories John. He was always very friendly and kind. My deepest condolences to you and your family.

I worked with John for many enjoyable years. His death is truly a loss to all who knew and loved him. What a tribute to read the many student comments posted here. He was someone who certainly made a positive difference in their lives.

So sorry about John. I started teaching with John in Churchville. He always made me feel comfortable and likely to tell me a joke! I remember his mobile cart with a sign, "Be Happy" when that song was popular! For teachers, trying to teach with a cart from room to room is not easy. He made the best of it! See you in heaven, John. Have a joke ready for me! Love to your family..

Mr Hogue was an amazing person. I always enjoyed walking into his class. I may not have tried my best in his class but i have some unforgettable memories. He always made me smile. I still remember him referring to me as "michael" most of the year, and still have the note he wrote to me at the end of the year. I will miss him with all my heart. Rest in peace Mr Hogue.

My Dear Janice & family,

God has you wrapped in his arms at this time and he will get you through this great loss.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Love to you all

Judy,

My condolences to you and your family during this difficult time. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
