John Holder Obituary



John Holder John Holder, 51, of Granger, Tex., passed away on September 28, 2007, in Austin, Texas. John is survived by his parents, Carl and Margie Holder; grandmother Geneva "Nanny" Hunter; brothers, Dan Holder and Kenneth Holder; sisters, Charlotte Ann Weller and Theresa Pilcher; fiancée, Paula Ferguson; stepdaughter, Amanda Webb; and numerous nieces, nephews and other aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nadine Holder and grandparents, Gus and Louise Schumann and Bob Hunter. John was a heavy equipment operator, employed by J.C. Evans for the last 2 1/2 years. He was a fun-loving guy with a big heart who would give the shirt off his back. He was well respected by family and friends and will be missed, loved and remembered. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2007, at 11:00 a.m., at Cook-Walden Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75231.

You were a great friend to whom I enjoyed working and socializing with. I will miss our daily conversations over the radio and the fun you brought to our daily work routine. You will be sadly missed by many here at J.C. Evans. May God be with you and your family.

John you will be very missed by me. I will never forget all the fun times we had. You were always a wonderful brother and I will never forget you. Thanks for being there when I needed you. I love you and will always remember you. I wish we could have had more time.
