John Holland

John Holland was the most wonderful and unassuming person that I have ever met. I met him first, 10 years ago, when he was MIT’s pistol shooting coach and he welcomed me into MIT’s shooting environment. He provided unconditional support with a genuine interest in helping me, with my sports and academic aspirations. Mr. Holland was the most wonderful gentleman I have ever met. He was a friend of the Meagher family for several years, and I got to know him after I married Wayne. He lovingly welcomed me into the "family." He crafted a cradle of cherry wood and a toy chest/bench for my daughter, Katie. They are in her bedroom.
He stayed in contact with my mother-in-law, and they always exchanged gifts--she would send him a box of pinon candy from New Mexico, and he would send her a Harry & David fruit...
