I was shocked and saddened to hear or the loss of Lt. John Hollingshead . We worked together at the Escambia County Health Unit. Dedicated, motivated, enthusiastic---An Outstanding employee. John was proud as serving with the 82nd Airborne Division, as I am proud of him also. We as a nation cannot than you enough for your bravery, your service to Country , and your selfless sacrifice in defense of those who cannot defend themselves. Hand saute to another great Army veteran veteran...

I worked with John in the mid 90's while working for Escambia County Inspections. He was a good friend and always enjoyed working with him. Always had some great stories to tell. He'll be missed.

WORKED WITH JOHN FOR YEARS AT THE HEALTH DEPT, EACH DAY WAS MORE BRIGHTER AND CHEERFUL WITH HIM AROUND, I AM SURE THAT IS THE EFFECT HE HAD ON ALL THAT KNEW HIM.

I've known John since I first started surfing the Pier in 1965. We always remained friends had good laughs and conversations whenever we would cross paths lately at terry's cove pier in Orange beach. He was a true waterman and in the old pensacola beach days was a lifeguard. I'll miss seeing and talking with him. Great person. Condolosences to the family .
