John P. Holmes

"John was a trusted person in everyday working relationships at Messiah College. We shared interests in missionary service and aspects of engineering. After Messiah there were Christmas letters and personal contacts at Cross Roads Church. Laona and I have lost a friend. Dave and Laona Brubaker (Grantham, PA)

John was a close friend and co-worker at Messiah College and the years afterwards. John’s life was a living example of devotion and the deepest love for the Lord, his wonderful wife Roselyn and their children. His love shown brilliantly and will not be forgotten. It is with sorrow and joy when I heard of John’s death. Sorrow because Marilyn and I lost a close friend but there is wonderful joy for John who is now with the Lord and his lovely bride.

John was a valued colleague at Messiah College and helped move the College to a higher standard of stewardship for its physical plant. We appreciated his Christian spirit, his work ethic, and his ability to maintain a sense of humor in the midst of challenging events.
