Not sure what to say?

Dear Lynette,
I was just made aware of the loss of our Dear Bishop Holmes. Please accept my condolances. He was the kindest bishop I have ever had. When I was ill there wasn't a week that went by that he didn't check on me. He set such a good example of compassion and the ward seemed to follow his example. What a great leader. He was so generous in building us the beautiful home. Lacey and her family now live in that home and have done a beautiful job with it. I wish he could have...

Lynette, John, Sandy and Family: There is much to say about our loved Love, Husband, Dad, Brother, Friend, Big-John, Sir-John, Johnny and the good times we shared that will remain vivid in our hearts and minds, missing him always and cherishing our time with him and the special spirit he showered upon all of us. Mike said it all when he displayed John's testimony in the form of a Recommend and noted that John's only concern and last thoughts were for his family. Remember John's testimony...

We were blessed to have him serve as our bishop and then in the Stake Presidency. Charity was his middle name and it showed in everything he did.He touched our lives forever! Lynette,John,Sandy and families. I'm so sorry for our loss. My love for you both continually stays in my heart. Your help and support given to me in difficult times remains so meaningful. My Sister stated Walt and John are probably building a place for us. Your Dad always spoke so highly of John and was especially proud of the quality of love and care given to you and family and also of his business sucess. My heart goes out to you at this time and in the days ahead. Love to all. Shirley

Rarely do we get to experience someone larger than life. All of those who knew Uncle John had that opportunity. His deep love for Aunt Lynette and his family was unmatched. I am sure he’s continuing to watch over them today. His faith in God and commitment to his callings in the church stand as an example to all. He loved people and they loved him. He gave many hours of service both in and out of the church.

I am especially grateful for the love and support he showed my...

My prayers are with the family. May God bless you all in this time, and provide you with comfort and reassurance.
