John Holmquist was a true gentleman of the old school variety and he will be greatly missed by all of us who were lucky enough to know him.

John was a lot of fun to be around, just a swell man who asked lots of questions of his company and loved and doted on Allison and her kids.

My memory of John is his great taste in well designed graphics. He turned me on the printed Studio Hinrichs yearly calendars. I get them every year and remember we used to have discussions about the various typefaces used. I will miss him. Peace

John´s smile and famous wave will always live in my memory. Indeed, he loved to find relevant articles and news and share his findings so thoughtfully with his friends and family. Happy heavenly bday! All of your girls are hugging your spirit today!

I will miss getting articles mailed to me and seeing his unique, architectural lettering. He was a fine man and I was fortunate to have an unlikely friendship with him.

Quist and I were great pals beginning from his trek to Idaho from California many years ago. We worked together for a number of years as well as sharing our time throwing flies at wary trout plus sitting in a duck blind, awaiting the arrival of a few dumb ducks. We shared our love for the military as well as our country. Oh, we both were not fond of the USC football team, always rooting for Cal or UCLA! Quist was of sound character and was a true friend in all aspects. I miss our times...
