We were so sorry to hear that we lost John. He was a classmate, fellow Jaycee, and friend of ours. We remember how proud John was of his kids and always showed us their pictures when we saw him at the bank.

My condolences to the Holtz family. John and I were friends as little boys living on 5th Avenue. I hadn't seen John for over 60 years but he was in many of my childhood memories. I have a photo of him and I playing "cowboys & indians" circa 1944.
