Not sure what to say?

It is with great sadness that I read of the death of this beautiful soul. The smile in this photo is what always greeted me at the farm. Angela and Alex, how your Dad loved you! Since moving to Parksville I have been neglectful of seeing Reg but I will tell you he will live in my heart forever with that warm, warm smile and welcoming hug. My love to you and all the family Marjorie

We moved to the Oldfield Valley 20+ years ago and became friends with Reg after buying hay from him. He often invited us in to share a beer and subjected us to his jokes...ha! He proudly showed us his collection of cars as well as how his border collies were trained to round up the sheep. He came to a few parties at our place and we often had a friendly chat at the communal mailbox. We miss seeing him around the neighbourhood. Rod & Gillian Phillips

While I was sad to read of Reg's passing, still it evoked very fond memories of how central events & activities surrounding the people & place of Hoole's farm figured in growing up in that era in the Oldfield valley. Helping out on the farm & milking the jersey cows. Picking up two bottles of fresh milk each afternoon after school. In glass bottles with a layer of cream at the top! Bringing in the hay & riding the elevator up to the loft in the original barn. Learning to drive the red...

Dear Angela and Alex, I'm so sorry for your loss. You've cared for your dad so well, and he was truly loved. Bless you and your families.

I am so sorry and sad that Reg has passed. My sister and I had many happy times at the farm. We were only very little then, but the memories have stayed with me all these years. Pat and Reg would light a fire somewhere on the farmland (we were city folk) but the quail was great. We didn't know if we were supposed to do that or not but the memory will never leave me, thank goodness. Reg was born the same day as I was because our moms were so close (war brides together). Thankyou for the...

Mr. Hoole was the best coach at Wellington Jr. high. Even when he wasn´t coaching after school he would come to games to cheer us on. We always were very inspired by him. Hoping that your family knows how many young people he motivated.

I remember so well Reg and his brother Packy (Pat) when I was growing up and their wonderful parents, as we lived right below them on Oldfield Road. Reg was always so good to my Dad, Mort Robinson. He would take Dad out to different car events which made Dad so happy. Reg had a great sense of humour and a wonderful heart.
