I had the pleasure of working with John at American and seeing him serve others at early service at UCC. He was always considerate of others and brought out the best in those around him. He will be missed.

It is hard to add to the many, many tributes to John. Everyone who knew John liked or even loved him. He was that special of a person. I first knew him when I was head of PR at Continental Airlines and he was state editor at the Associated Press and later after he joined American. Then I had the great pleasure to work alongside John when I was a consultant at American for many years. John leaves behind a hole in so many hearts that is filled with fond memories. RIP John.

They had data, insights and great storytelling. I reconnected with John a few years back to...

John was one of a kind, and those of us who worked with him at American Airlines are all richer for having known him. Funny, smart, always helpful, with a Texas accent that never failed to charm. So sorry to hear of his passing, and comforted that he and his beloved Susan are reunited.
