Not sure what to say?

I am sorry to hear of John's passing. I enjoyed working with John at Eaton in Cleveland and learned much from him.

Dear Mrs. Hruska, We are so sorry to hear of Mr. Hruska's passing. We always looked forward to hearing from you through your yearly Christmas card. He had so many friends and was indeed one of the most gentlemanly men one could meet. It was a pleasure to know both of your. Sarah & Bill Smila, Glasgow, Kentucky

I will always remember how proud John was to visit the family roots in Hungary in 1978 while there to survey the abilities of RABA to manufacturing products for Eaton.
He was a great source of information and guidance for all the young people who had an interest in manufacturing. He set the bar at a high level.
May God Bless the family in this time of loss.

From time to time I would call John to see how things are going. So, I called last night to talk to John and Lillian told me he passed away August 23rd. I was very much surprised, shocked and my heart hurt.

I considered him my mentor and a person I most would like to be. But I could not ever match John or fill his shoes. He was a great gentleman, teacher, leader, very patient and smart. He was the one that guilded me to finish school.

In circa 1982, John...

I had the privilege of being John's secretary at Eaton Corporation for 16 years. He was a wonderful human being, exceptional boss and great family man. All of his co-workers greatly respected him for all his knowledge and wisdom. He will be greatly missed by all. His greatest achievement was having the love of his wonderful wife, Lillian and all of his children and grandchildren. I know that they are all hurting today, but will remember him with love and pride.
Bob and I offer our...

Grandpa Hruska was such a kind and loving person. To his 90th year he had something interesting to talk about every time we saw him. We feel lucky to have had the chance to spend time with him. He will be greatly missed. Our sympathy to his wonderful wife and family.

Grandpa, you are deeply missed and will never be forgotten. You were a warm, kind person and everyone who came into contact with you loved you. You have made such an impression on my life and more importantly, on Ava's life. She loved her Great-Grandpa and enjoyed each and every visit with you. I miss you so much, Grandpa, and I love you!!

I knew John by telephone only once. At the time, I was working on my family genealogy and called him abuot family information.
John was the son of Joseph Hruska and Elizabeth Stwan. My great grandmother Christina Wokaty Janoch's oldest sister was Anna Wokaty Stwan. Elizabethe was Anna's only daughter (and John Hruska's mother). My father and John Hruska were therefore have been second cousins.

I know this may be a surprise but I look at the death notices often and...

Grandpa, your smile always lit up a room and you had a heart of gold. I will always see you through my daughters' blue eyes. You are greatly missed and I love you so much!!
