Not sure what to say?

Watching Christmas Vacation (for the umpteenth time) this season as I do every season. As usual, my thoughts turn to John Hughes and his many movies of which I am such a fan. I can never remember quotes from movies, but for some reason that's not the case with his. Thank you, John for the joy you've given me and now my grandkids with such awesome movies that transcend generations REST IN PEACE

john, thank you for your talent. you gave young people a voice and helped them feel seen. your movies have been so enjoyable to watch over the years. in my opinion, you helped define the 80s and there will never be someone to come along like you again. rip....your work will never be forgotten

Thank You for the most memorable movies that seemed to have been circled around the time I was at GBN from 1981 -1985. When I graduated from GBN the following year you started filming Ferris Buellers Day Off. I was an extra in that movie who actually got paid. That is something I will remember forever. Thank You for sharing our stories with the rest of the country. RIP

Mr. Hughes, thank you for portraying our city, Chicago, in a positive light on film. Thank you for capturing the youth of Generation X on film. Lastly, thank you for planting those thousands of trees that you did. That is your greatest legacy to our world. Godspeed, sir.

Mr Hughes,

Thank you for giving a voice to Generation X, I greatly appreciate all the work that you gave us. It has helped me a lot over the years to deal with the pressures of life.

Ferris, Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Pretty In Pink....

They were all awesome!

May you continue to Rest In Peace,

Robert

Since I could not meet You when You were alive and kicking, I look forward to do that after I leave this performance. Thank You for all You did to open the curtains on the inner machinations of Human Beings.

Celebrating a life well lived. We will cherish the memories forever.
