I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Nancy Keeler

In thinking about what to write here my first thoughts go back to the wonderful smile and laugh that Uncle John had. The wonderful St. Patrick's Day parades and parties afterwards. The pride that he had for his family. The effort that he put in to all he did for his family and community. I am sure that Uncle John will remain in your hearts and minds when ever we hear someone laugh, see the St. Patrick's Day parade and see a smile. Julie and I will continue to pray for the family. Dear Sue Dan & Family
I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad, take care and know many friends are thinking of you during this difficult time. Love the Dzurka Family

Your family is in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. John will truely be missed! John,Jan and girls were really good friends with our family. I know that Dad (Bill Proctor) will really miss John but we have wonderful memories to hold onto. John in now at peace and pain free. You have our sympathy and love.

I remember John Hurley as a child growing up in Bay City. His brother is my Uncle Jim who is married to my Aunt Madeline. I remember him laughing as he spent time with his family.

My Dad was John Hurley's first cousin; but, after Dad died in 1953, the Ann Arbor Baileys became separated from the Bay City Hurleys through time, distance, and the press of our hectic daily lives. After I retired in 2003, I got back in touch with family and visited John and Jan last fall. It was great to see them and to share a wonderful Irish dinner of sauerkraut and cabbage. Even though he was weak (and probably in pain) John took the time to escort me to the cemeteries to visit the graves...

Mr. Hurley was a wonderful caring man. I will always remember how much he loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

"May the sun shine upon your face" Just a part of the old Irishmans prayer. And no one better typified the Irish than John Hurley.
It is a great loss to Margaret and I and our daughters. We have missed John and Jan the years we have lived in Florida. But you may be assured we have never forgot.

We have known John for well over 25 years. When his daughter Susan married our son Dan, we became a blended family. We share grandchildren, great-grandchildren and good memories. John was a good man and we will always miss him
