Not sure what to say?

it's been 20 + years since you have gone on your journey. I pray that you laid the path for us to follow as you did here on earth. Looking forward to the day when we meet again, along with the rest of the Hurt family.

I was saddened to learn of the recent death of John Hurt. Of all the people I met during six years "On The Hill" there was none that I held in higher regard. He treated this poor little Roderfield kid with kindness and respect and I will always have fond memories of the time we spent together. My love and sympathy to Rosie. She and Johnny showed us that young love can last a lifetime. What a special couple!

Dear Rosie: I have just learned of John's passing. My thoughts and prayer go out to you and your family. I have a lot of memories of John throughout grade and High school. John was a good friemd and I will always remender the two of you together.
Always,
Bob Widener

We were so sorry to hear of John's death. My great-uncle, John Compton, and John's dad were in the furniture business together in Welch. Rose, Martha, and Lois, we send our deepest sympathy. The Hurt family and Summers St. bring back fond memories.

WE WILL MISS JOHN, BUT IT IS A TRUE BLESSING KNOWING THAT HE IS RESTING IN A BETTER PLACE. JOHN HAS SUCH A GREAT FAMILY. HE LEAVES BEHIND A TRUE LEGACY.

Mrs. Hurt:

I am Fred Ostertag, the European Director of Central Texas College, and Cathy is my Business Manager. Listening to Cathy talk so fondly and lovingly about her father, reading the many kind and thoughtful words about your husband in the Guest Book, and seeing what a decent and caring person Cathy has developed into, it is easy to determine that you were a wonderful couple, loving parents to your children, and true friends to so many othes.

There is no doubt...

Rosalie,

Though I haven't seen you or John since you graduated high school -- I remember you both fondly. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. God be with you.

Dear Rose: Although we heard of John's death last Saturday evening at Mass, we were unable to attend Funeral services due to vacation timing. However, You have been in our prayers all along. Only the Lord and family can help pull you through these difficult times. I remember with appreciation all the good things he did for Fatima Church & Community. May God Bless!
