Uncle John was truly a gentle man. Uncle John and Aunt Ruthie were such a positive force for me in my childhood years.
They displayed love, kindness, and compassion to my father Bill Riley (Aunt Ruthie's twin) and all us kids. I am sure it was not what Uncle John signed up for, but he welcomed our family warmly.
