our family remembers a great lemko

Belated though really deep condolences from the the mazuryk family, volodymyr, rebecca, valentyna i dymytry i druhy. Always nice guy, bright, friendly, especially to my dad and his buddies in the Lemko community - never forgotten by me! Have fun up there!!

So very sorry to hear of this terrible loss. I know only that he raised a wonderful son whom I had the privilege to work with for several years.

Dr. Hvozda was my political science instructor at what was then Auburn Community College in the summer of 1971. I'd just gotten out of the Air Force & was trying to get integrated back into civilian life. I couldn't have chosen a better instructor. Dr. Hvozda listened to me with charm, wit, patience, and the wisdom that came with his own life experiences. It was a privilege to have known him. Over the years, I learned that he touched so many lives and in so many ways. My condolences to his...

Like my brother David, i was priveledged to be a student of Dr. Hvozda. He expanded my view of the world and gave me confidence in my abilities at then Auburn Community College. This nineteen year old couldn't wait to get to his class. He taught us a great deal about the big issues in life,; freedom, honor, culture. He seemed to enjoy it too, aften delivering a provocative remark with a mischievious grin. My sincere condolences to his family.

One of my favorite professors at Cayuga Community College. I had him for several courses and did Model UN/US Congress. He had great knowledge of his subject, an interesting background and perspective, and a dry sense of humor. I also got to know his son John as a student and later as an attorney. My condolences to John and the entire family. RIP Doc.
