JOHN HYLAND

Only learned of John's passing today. John was a member of our study group throughout our time at St Johns Law. A good and knowledgeable friend, his self-effacing humor was a welcome relief. To think of such an untimely death is almost too much to bear.

To his family, my wife Donna and I send our heartfelt condolences. John and Denise had attended our wedding in 1980.

I went to high school with John. I never saw him again after our graduation on the beautiful evening of June 16, 1969. If you're lucky, you might meet some people as nice as John, but I promise that you'll never meet anyone nicer. May God bless him.

John and I have been friends and co trustees for many, many years. He was a man of integrity, humor, and intelligence. I watched the care that he gave to his late wife Denise with admiration, shared his pride in his children and grandchildren; and rejoiced when he found Sandy. He has left us too early, and leaves a huge void. To Sandy, the family, and the many men and women who worked with him at Jones Day, my condolences.
