Not sure what to say?

I'm surprised how often I have occasion to think of Jack even as the years pass; how kind he was to me when he was a huge presence and I young and new. I miss running into him from time to time. I'm certain it's so much more difficult for his family. Sympathies to them. May God hold dear Jack in the Hollow of His Hand.

Had the pleasure of speaking with Jack Hynes years back when i was kid going to school, going to practice for hockey and then heading to Mary Hartigan's to bus tables. Quite a few time Jack Hynes came in and sat in booth and enjoyed a meal. I was impressed after all the guy was on TV! Him he was humble, quiet and dignified. A great example for a guy like me in those years. Rest easy Mr. Hynes I enjoyed the words...

Was thinking of Jack a few days ago. With Bob, Don and Chet Curtis, we'd catch last call in Dot after the 11. Great convo. Wonderful folks. Jack was very kind to a young man starting out. Would write letters to me when I served in RVN with the Army. Always enjoyed his company however briefly. He was - IS - indeed a great guy. Thanks, Jack. Rest easy now.

My deepest sympathy to the family in the loss of Jack Hynes .. Jack impacted so many lives over the years. You could see his sincerity in his eyes and in his smile during his broadcasting. Rest in Peace.

There was no better news anchor than Jack Hynes. My condolences to his family.

Nice memories of working with Jack for several years while I was a Northeastern University journalism student at the original Channel 5 in Boston. Jack often took the time to say hello before his 6:00 newscasts and frequently asked about my family. That's the kind of guy he was.
