Not sure what to say?

I had John for my Bible Study Methods class at MSB (before it was MU) back in 1978. It was a whole 2 credit course but it was my all time favorite! He made us work but the scripture came alive! I think he was attending Western at the time, so was "just" a grad student but he really connected with us. I thank God for him!

Christian publishing has lost a talented man. He is with Jesus, but everyone here still misses him. Condolences to Carolyn and the children and grandchildren.

I served on the CBE Board with John and loved his valuable input and his friendship. I treasure the INIV leather bound Reference Bible that John sent me when my father died and I had to resign early from the CBE Board. I was blessed by knowing John.

Among all of John's great talents in life. One fo the greatest was the love for his family. Rest in peace Mr. Kohlenberger

John was a gifted leader, spirited about his belief about Biblical equality; a very godly example to all of us, with a fine sense of humor as well. He will be so very missed!

From all of John's friends at Providence.

I have loved my friend John, and will carry fond memories of the times we spent together. I consider it a privilege to have walked through some of life with John, and look forward to seeing him in eternity

My condolences to his wife Carolyn and the rest of John's family. I met John through his wife being my intern supervisor when attending Western Seminary Counseling program. He had a deep passion for his Chritian work and community that will leave a hole.

Carolyn and family, John was a man greatly gifted by God, who used those gifts to leave a legacy of Biblical scholarship to the world. We know you grieve his loss, but we will all see him again and enjoy fellowshipping in Heaven forever. Our prayers are with you in your loss.
